The Best Peaches for Grilling
For this recipe, use peaches that are ripe but firm. The peaches should not be mushy—there should be some give when you press them gently with a finger. I prefer yellow peaches over white peaches since they are more tart. They aren’t overly sweet, especially with the brown sugar mixture sprinkled on top and the ice cream on the side. Yellow nectarines will work too!
Clean and Preheat the Grill
Clean and oil your grill grates before you get cooking. Then, preheat the grill to medium-high heat, 400°F, before you add the peaches on the grill. Not only will you get those beautiful, charred grill marks, it’ll prevent the peaches from sticking to the grill.
3 Simple Tips
This recipe is quick and easy, but there are still some tips that you can follow for the best results:
Brush the peaches generously with butter so that they do not stick to the grill.Though it might be tempting, do not flip the peaches to check on them before the 2- to 3-minute mark. Be patient and you’ll be rewarded with beautifully charred peaches. If you live in an apartment or do not have a grill, you can make this recipe on your stovetop with a hot grill pan.
How I Serve Grilled Peaches
Grilled peaches are best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on the side. For some crunch, top them with chopped nuts or granola.
Leftovers Are the Best
One reason why I love grilled peaches is because even leftovers are delicious and versatile. I recommend chopping them up and serving them in a sweet, summery salad, simply as a side dish, or with Greek yogurt and granola for breakfast.

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat the peaches, place them in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes or in the microwave for 1 minute. They are also great served cold! Did you love the recipe? Leave us stars below!
